" As a clinician, it brings me joy to watch others get excited about life again – to learn the fine details about oneself, reject false ideas, and unlock parts that have been inaccessible for far too long. There is a ripple effect in healing. The power of investing a listening ear and welcoming vulnerability in its rawest form can change a landscape for many lifetimes to come. For many, therapy is the first space a person has been heard in an unconditional way. While speaking your deepest fears, hopes, thoughts, and needs aloud can feel daunting, I am here to ensure that your journey is more than just talk—it is a safe, empowering, and deeply transformative experience. There is a vibrant version of you just beneath the surface, waiting for permission to explore, the courage to heal, and the space to create."

Approach to Therapy
I believe in the power of warmth and unconditional positive regard as the foundation for our work. Thus, my style is rooted in a person-centered approach that is highly-collaborative, conversational, and cultivates space to conceptualize the whole person. I recognize the unique need of every client so I utilize a tailored blend that is integrative; weaving cognitive behavior therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and trauma-informed practices to meet you where you are at. Occasionally, and with your consent, I may use other approaches to help facilitate your therapeutic needs. Please be aware that I will only use techniques from therapies from which I am trained and with your consent.
Empowerment is an essential element in my therapeutic approach. I value connecting on a level that is relatable, thought-provoking, and energizing. Former clients would say I’m genuine, kind, and honest. My style involves putting our heads together, being curious, and examining your world in an introspective manner. I hold no fear toward hard conversations and believe communication is essential, so I will encourage principles such as assertiveness and resilience in our work together. I believe the pathway to healing should include moments of joy, so I love to share laughs and highlight wins as you discover yourself.
“What I am is good enough if I would only be it openly.”
- Carl R. Rogers
Credentials & Qualifications
I hold a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Sam Houston State University (Eat ‘em up, Kats!). I am a fully licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Texas and Oklahoma. My clinical foundation was built during my practicums at a local college preparatory academy, offering counseling services for students, and the Counseling Center of Montgomery County, facilitating substance abuse and recovery groups for court-mandated remediation. I have primarily served in education settings, providing counseling services to adolescents and adults. My specialties and areas of experience include anxiety disorders, family issues, C-PTSD and relational trauma, relationship issues & attachment, life transition, stress & burnout, perfectionism, depressive disorders, grief, self-esteem, personal growth, racial injustice, and Queer/LGBTQ+ issues.
I have extensive background serving clients of diverse backgrounds, ensuring a culturally competent and identity-affirming practice. I recognize and honor the needs of BIPOC, Latinx, and LGBTQIA+ communities, ensuring safety and competence as front-line requirements to care.
Passion & Values
To know me both personally and professionally is to know that I value helping others feel seen. My motivation for being a psychotherapist is rooted profoundly in divine purpose and integrity. I am deeply passionate about helping people self-actualize what they hope for. I believe we all possess strengths, both tapped and untapped, that are our keys to change. I also believe stigma is meant to be broken and that we are not condemned to remain who we were taught to be. I intimately understand the weight of life’s trials and know how to responsibly steward my client’s weights with care and consideration.
As a person of Faith, I am firm on the duty to love others as He first loved us. I reject the notion to use faith as a pass to judge and openly welcome any person of any identity who is ready to work. Religious or spiritual affiliation is not a requirement for us to work with one another. However, if it is an aspect you’d like included or excluded in my approach, I am happy to oblige. In alignment with my ethical duty as a licensed clinician, I do not condone discrimination or hate of any kind and will always stand for justice. My practice is hinged on my personal conviction to be a safe haven for disenfranchised and systematically oppressed groups.
If I sound like I would be a good fit for you, let's talk! Who you desire to be is waiting for you on the other side of your “yes”. As Maya Angelou famously stated, “You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”
*Also, just because I believe in Jesus, doesn't mean you have to. Let's chat.

We have a team of clinicians waiting to unlock the power of vulnerability within you; let's see if we're a good fit!
