"As a counselor, I believe you are the ultimate expert on your own life. Life’s challenges—whether rooted in sudden life transitions, persistent distress, or deep-seated trauma—can leave us feeling disconnected from our authentic selves. My role is to sit beside you in the passenger seat: helping you navigate complex emotional terrain, uncovering your inner resilience, and equipping you with practical tools to reclaim your narrative. No matter where you come from or what you carry, your story is honored here. There is strength within you waiting to be uncovered, and I am here to ensure that your journey is a safe, empowering, and deeply transformative experience.”

Approach to Therapy
I believe in the power of collaboration and mutual respect as the foundation for our work. While my style is deeply rooted in a person-centered approach that honors your individual timeline and lived experiences, I also believe that true growth requires gentle, purposeful accountability. I strive to balance unconditional warmth with the honest, professional challenge necessary to help you break old patterns and step into your potential. I recognize that every person requires a unique path to healing, so I utilize a highly tailored, integrative approach. I blend evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with trauma-informed practices and addiction recovery models to meet you exactly where you are at.
Empowerment and genuine connection are essential elements in my therapeutic space. I value connecting on a level that is down-to-earth, relatable, and deeply empathetic. Former clients and colleagues would say I bring a grounded, crisis-ready perspective that remains calm and steady through the hardest conversations. My style involves putting our heads together to face challenges head-on. I hold no fear toward addressing heavy burdens, and I will actively encourage principles of resilience, self-compassion, and personal accountability in our work together.
"The only normal people are the ones you don't know very well."
- Alfred Adler
Credentials & Qualifications
I am a current PhD student at Walden University pursuing my doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision, specializing in Marriage, Family, and Couples counseling. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and serve as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with Texas dual licensure as an LPC-Associate and LCDC.
Bringing a combined background in the mental health field of over 10 years, my clinical foundation includes more than eight years in psychiatric inpatient settings as a Mental Health Technician and five years as an Addiction Counselor. Throughout my decade of experience, I have developed a specialized focus in supporting adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating PTSD, substance use recovery, mood disorders, life transitions, and men’s issues.
Passion & Values
I am deeply committed to destigmatizing mental health and addiction care, drawing on my perspective as a Black male therapist and Combat Air Force Veteran to support communities of color, men, and service members. My door remains open to all backgrounds and identities, offering a safe haven for growth and healing.
If it sounds like I would be a good fit for you, let’s talk! As Kendrick Lamar beautifully reminded us on our collective journey toward self-actualization, “When you look at yourself, you should see someone that's worthy of being loved.” Reaching out is the first step toward reclaiming that worth and rewriting your narrative.

We have a team of clinicians waiting to unlock the power of vulnerability within you; let's see if we're a good fit!
